The Milwaukee Police Band "Bluecoats" est. 2015
In 2015, the members of the police band formed a smaller breakout group called the "Bluecoats" that travel to elementary schools in Milwaukee to interact with the children and youth. The band members convey a message for personal safety as well as positive contact with the police officers that they meet. Students perform with the band with percussion instruments or dancing or clapping and singing.

On May 3, 2018 members of the Milwaukee Police Band spent the day with elementary students at the Tonawonda School. What great fun was had by all. Great students at the Tonawonda School and fine musicians too!
The Milwaukee Police Band Bluecoats performed at the Eastbrook Academy School on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 5365 N. Green Bay Road. The students were an incredible audience and performed on percussion instruments with precision.

On Wednesday, May 17, 2017, the MPB Bluecoats performed at the Northwest Catholic School at 7140 N. 41 Street.
On Wednesday, April 19, 2017, the MPB Bluecoats performed at the Milwaukee French Immersion School at 2360 N. 52 Street.
On On Tuesday, March 21, 2017, the MPB Bluecoats performed at the St. Peter Emanuel Lutheran School at 7801 W. Acacia Street. The students were outstanding! And their teachers can dance too.
On Wednesday, February 15, 2017, the MPB Bluecoats performed at the Neeskara Elementary School at 1601 N. Hawley Road.
On January 18, 2017, the MPB Bluecoats performed at the St. Matthias Parish School at 9300 W. Beloit Road.
